About

Our Identity

The RSustain Ecocapital Index (RECI) is an independent benchmark for real-economy climate maturity assessment.

Mission

RECI was established to bridge the gap between high-level ESG disclosures and the operational reality of corporate decarbonisation. As the transition to a low-carbon economy accelerates, investors and stakeholders require more than emissions targets — they require structured evidence of the governance, data systems, and financial controls that support consistent delivery.

RECI serves as an independent adjudicator, applying a rigorous seven-pillar framework to assess the structural maturity of corporate climate strategies across 100 companies in 20+ countries.

Principles

Core Values

Independence

Strict separation between RECI's index adjudication function and any advisory services. No fee is accepted from assessed companies in exchange for score improvements.

Transparency

Every score is calibrated against published rubric anchors and derived from publicly available evidence. Methodology and tier definitions are published in full.

Accuracy

RECI prioritises primary metered data and verified assurance statements over spend-based estimates and narrative disclosure.

Process

Adjudication

RECI assessments are conducted by senior practitioners with backgrounds in GHG accounting, climate risk finance, TCFD advisory, and corporate governance. All assessments are calibrated against the published RECI Rubric v2 anchors and reviewed for consistency before publication.

Adjudicator credentials and methodology calibration records are available to institutional subscribers via the Professional Portal.

Global Reach
